Best 50 Years of Your Life: LLYC 50 Year Reunion Recap

Without fail, my sister and I cry every time we watch The H. E. Butt Family Foundation Legacy Project. A few weeks ago, we were sitting on the couch in my living room and, just to be cruel, I played the excerpt that makes her cry: When Rudy Sosa speaks about Roadside Park and states how beautiful it was when he overlooked Echo Valley.

I said, “Paige, I love camp so much.”

She said, “Next week, you’ll be with 600 other people who feel just like you do.”

My sister was alluding to the LLYC 50th Reunion that took place October 14-16, and she hit the nail on the head. It was a surreal weekend to be surrounded by so many others who had encountered God in the Frio Canyon, a weekend full of laughter, tears, and of course, grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Over the course of the weekend, I served as the Media Director as well as Comms Team Ambassador. For the retreat, our team designed and implemented signage, table tents, T-shirts, luggage tags, and cups. Additionally, we produced two videos and covered the weekend with both photography and videography.

Below are a few photos of those assets as well as photos from the weekend. Enjoy and know that there are only about 9,111 days until the 75th LLYC Reunion!
